Online and offline ways to check EPF balance
Missed Call: Employees enrolled on the UAN site can access their EPFO account information by giving a missed call to 9966044425 from their registered cellphone number. After two rings, the call ends immediately, and the subscriber is not charged for this service. Member will get information about his most recent contribution and PF balance if his UAN is linked with either of his bank account number, Aadhaar or PAN.
SMS: A UAN-activated user needs to send ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ to 7738299899 from a registered mobile phone to know about his most recent PF contribution and balance available with EPFO.
UMANG App: Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance (UMANG) app can be downloaded by the employees to check the status of their EPF accounts on their smartphones. Apart from checking EPF balance, you can also file and track claims using the app. To use the app, users must first make a one-time registration with their UAN-registered mobile number.
EPFO Portal: You can verify your details on the Member e-Seva Portal by logging in to the EPFO site epfindia.gov.in with your UAN number and password.
Let us tell you, both these services of EPFO are available to the account holders 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can know your balance anytime by giving SMS or missed call. However, to avail both these services, your EPF account should be active.
