More than six thousand contractual workers of National Rural Health Scheme (NRHM) will get benefit of provident fund. This benefit will be given from April 2015. Four of the eight districts of the region have sent the list of contract workers, while the remaining are yet to be met. After giving PF cover to NRHM contract personnel, contractual personnel of Basic Education Department and other government departments will be brought under the purview of PF.

PF Regional Commissioner Vishwajit Sagar said that the list of more than four thousand contractual workers in Agra, Mathura, Firozabad and Etah districts has come to them, which are being covered in PF. The list of four districts of the region remains. In this way more than six thousand people will start getting all the benefits of provident fund from April 2015.
Workers’ salary in their bank account
The central government has made it compulsory for all factories to pay the workers’ wages for the month of November in the midst of a cash crunch after the note closure. The Employees Provident Fund Organization has directed all employers to pay salaries of employees only in the bank. For this, PF Regional Commissioner Vishwajit Sagar has formed three teams of enforcement officers, in which a team will contact the DM office and open the accounts of all the employees who do not have bank accounts. The second team will open the account by contacting the ESIC officials and the third team will organize special camps in collaboration with the bank officials in the establishment itself. In one day, 1195 accounts of laborers have been opened in the district. Efforts are being made to open accounts in all factories till the date of salary.
Submit pensioner’s life certificate by 15 January
Agra. The PF office, like other pensioners, has asked its pensioners to submit life certificates by 15 January. There are 27,500 pensioners from PF Regional Office, Agra. They get pension through State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank. Earlier this deadline was till November, but the period has been extended after the note closure. Not only this, EPF pensioners can also submit their life certificates through any public utility center in the district. Due to the complete biometric system due to the Aadhaar card, the pensioner will have to thumb only after visiting the public utility center. This will not make them go to the PF office. He can also give his life certificate in a biometric manner in a bank.
