New Delhi: Rain Alert: The rainy season will continue in Uttarakhand for the next few days. On Thursday, Orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in 9 districts of the state and Yellow alert has been issued in three districts.

Heavy rain expected in these districts

According to the latest information from the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Nainital Pauri, Dehradun, Champawat Tehri, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts of Uttarakhand on Thursday. Orange alert has been issued in these 9 districts. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag districts.

Fear of lightning

On June 30, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Nainital, Bageshwar, Dehradun, Tehri and Pauri districts of the state and there is a possibility of lightning accompanied by thunder in the mountainous districts, for which a yellow alert has been issued in these districts.

Heavy rain expected till July 2

On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Tehri, Bageshwar districts on July 1. Apart from this, on July 2, there is a possibility of lightning accompanied by thunder at some places in the hilly districts of the state and intense and very intense spell of rain. The department has advised to be cautious during this period.

Meanwhile, officials of Public Works Department and all district administration including NDRF, SDRF, ITBP have been asked to remain on alert mode.

Heavy rain since morning in Noida

Here, it rained heavily in Noida on Thursday morning. This has brought down the temperature and people have got relief from the humidity. However, the problem of water-logging remains on the side of many roads. Rain has been predicted in Noida till July 4.

Drop in temperature due to rain

Due to rain, the maximum temperature is expected to be 35 to 37 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 25 to 28 degrees. It is expected to rain intermittently for the next 24 hours. There will be heavy rains on 1 and 2 July. After the rain on July 3 and 4, there will be sunshine. This will increase the temperature.
