Redmi 5A Buyers Will Get Rs. 1,000 Cashback from Jio



At the launch of Redmi 5A, the nation saw the entry of Xiaomi’s new warrior in India, with a starting price of Rs. 5,999. Brand Xiaomi also announced a discount of Rs. 1,000 for the first 5 million Redmi 5A customers, meaning the starting price goes down to Rs. 4,999 for the early birds. Additionally, buyers of the new “Desh Ka Smartphone” can get another Rs. 1,000 as cash back amount, courtesy a partnership between Xiaomi  India and Reliance Jio. The Redmi 5A buyers will get the cash back as vouchers that can be redeemed to purchase Jio recharges.

The Xiaomi India Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain, introduced the Jio cash back offer following the launch of the Redmi 5A on few days back. “All #Redmi5A users now avail an additional cash back of Rs. 1,000 cash back through @reliancejio ‘Better Together Offer’![sic]” Jain tweeted.



Under the new offer, the condition for Redmi 5A users is that they need to continue recharge their accounts with the Rs. 199 pack for a duration of 12 months to get the cash back amount. The pack includes 28GB of 4G data with a 1GB daily limit, unlimited local and STD voice calls, and unlimited SMS with a validity of 28 days. However, the first recharge should be done between December 5, 2017, and November 30, 2018.

The cash back will be credited to the subscribers’ account in the form of 10 vouchers of Rs. 100 denomination each at the end of 12 months duration. It is also worth considering here that only one cash back voucher can be redeemed at a time and against the recharge of Rs. 309 pack or against Rs. 201 or above data add-ons via MyJio app before November 30, 2019. In addition to this, the Rs. 199 pack will be available for Reliance Jio subscribers for the first 12 months after purchasing the Redmi 5A.



Xiaomi Redmi 5A comes in two variants in the country – one with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage and the other one with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. Both the versions have a 5-inch HD display, a 3000mAh battery and quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. The Redmi 5A has a whooping 13-mega pixel rear camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens, a 5-megapixel front camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens and an LED flash, and. It runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat.
