Reliance Jio discontinued its cheapest popular plan, know the reason

New Delhi, Tech Desk. The country’s leading telecom company Reliance Jio also introduced many new features ranging from the best plan for work to home for its users during the lockdown. Recently, the company launched a long-term prepaid plan of Rs 2,399. Under this plan, users are being given many other benefits including 730GB of data. While the company is launching new plans to provide better facilities to the users, the company has discontinued the Rs 98 plan without any official announcement. This plan has been removed from the company’s website. This was the cheapest and popular plan of the company.


There is no longer a prepaid plan list of Rs 98 on Reliance Jio’s website. After discontinuing the plan of Rs 98, now the cheapest prepaid plan of Jio is priced at Rs 129. In this plan with 28 days validity, users can avail 2GB data and unlimited voice calling facility

By the way, this is not the first time that the company has closed the prepaid plan of Rs 98. Earlier, the company had discontinued the Rs 98 plan after the introduction of the all-in one plan, but later relaunched it. However, the reason for discontinuing the Rs 98 plan officially has not been revealed yet.


Recently, Reliance Jio launched a new work from home prepaid plan of Rs 2,399 to provide better facility to the users working from home. In this plan with 365 days validity, users can avail 2GB data per day. Apart from this, unlimited calling is also being provided from Jio to Jio number. In this plan, you will get 12,000 minutes to call other networks, along with 100 SMS daily.
