According to a report by Research Organization Strategy Analytics, the Galaxy A51 4G variant is the globally best-selling Android smartphone in the first quarter of the year. More than 6 million units of this smartphone have been shipped in the first quarter. Despite the problems faced in the supply chain due to the Coronavirus lockdown, this smartphone has been the highest selling.

Xiaomi Redmi 8 is the second best selling smartphone after Samsung Galaxy A51 . The first quarter of the year has been a challenge for smartphone makers. All major tech events were canceled due to Coronavirus. Also, the lockdown in two of the largest smartphone markets China and India has also affected the sales of smartphones. A total of 275 million smartphones have been shipped globally in the first quarter. 86 percent of these smartphones come with Android operating system.
