These days people are getting a message from SBI on their phones. Now it has been said by the government agency PIB that this message is fake. You also pay attention…otherwise you know that even a little carelessness can empty your entire account.

Do you also have an account with State Bank of India (SBI)? If yes, then this news is of your use. SBI account holders are often sent messages from the bank to provide OTP or information about any service. But fraudsters also take advantage of this. They send many fake type messages to the customers, where a link is given. Customers click on it by mistake or in a hurry, which empties their account in no time.

Recently, many people are getting a similar message on the phone from SBI. Now the government agency PIB has done Fact Check for this.

Customers got this message

PIB Fact Check has given information about the message of SBI. It says that SBI account holder your SBI Yono Account has been blocked. Please click here to update your PAN card details. Along with this, a link has also been given in the SMS.

PIB told fake

PIB has told in its fact check that this is a fake message. In this, it has been claimed by the State Bank of India that the Yono account has been blocked.

PIB says that in any email or SMS you are asked for bank details, do not respond to them. Second, if you receive any such SMS, immediately report it to report.phishing@sbi.co.in.

No such message has been sent by SBI to its customers. Nor is bank account information sought from customers on SMS or email from the bank.
