NEW DELHI — Legislative proceedings across both Houses of Parliament hit a complete standstill for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. The deadlock persists as Opposition floor leaders continue to demand the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in national competitive examinations and recent police action against student demonstrations.

Treasury benches maintained that the Centre remains prepared to hold an immediate and structured debate on the floor of the House regarding examination security. However, Opposition leaders rejected the offer, stating that ministerial accountability must precede formal discussions.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju reiterated the administration’s willingness to address all concerns regarding examination management. He noted that the rules and duration for the discussion would be finalized in coordination with floor leaders across party lines.
