Kisan Credit Card: The Central Government has issued a total of 1.22 crore Kisan Credit Cards till 17 August. The government has also issued a total loan of Rs 1,02,065 crore to farmers through these cards. To overcome the Corona epidemic and the economic crisis that followed, the government had announced loans at concessional rates to farmers.
After this announcement, farmers were given relief at a difficult time by giving loans. The Modi government is providing loans to farmers under the Self-Reliant India Package. Under the package, it has been announced to provide loans of Rs 2 lakh crore at concessional rates.

About 2.5 lakh farmers will benefit through this. Loans are provided to the farmers at a cheaper rate through the Kisan Credit Card. This loan is given at a nominal rate of four per cent. Although the loan is available at the rate of 9 percent, but the government gives a subsidy of 2 percent on it.

In this sense it becomes 7 percent. On the other hand, if the farmer returns this loan on time, then he gets a further rebate of 3%. That is, the farmer only has to pay interest at the rate of 4 percent. Different banks and NBFCs are providing Kisan Credit Cards.
