The traffic police of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda have made a unique announcement in which the drivers are being given a bumper discount of up to 75 percent on the outstanding challan.

The traffic police of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda have announced a discount in traffic challans for vehicles bearing the registration number of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

This information has come to the fore in a report by Asianet. The new announcement has been made after identification of outstanding challans of Rs 600 crore.

According to the information released by the Hyderabad Traffic Police, this decision has been taken on the basis of humanity, in which this relief has been given to the drivers due to financial constraints during Kovid-19.

75% discount for two wheeler drivers

Under this caste discount scheme, two-wheeler drivers will have to pay only 25 percent of the total challan, while light motor vehicles, cars, SUVs and heavy vehicle drivers will have to pay 50 percent of the total challan of the challan.

Bus drivers of RTC ie Road Transport Corporation will have to pay 30 percent of the outstanding challan, while the traffic police has announced to waive off the outstanding amount of the challan. According to Telangana Police, all the drivers have been given the option of online payment only to take advantage of this discount.

One-time Discount/Concession

Traffic Police has provided this discount for traffic defaulters who have not been able to pay the challan amount in time. This one-time discount / concession is being given for challans made on drivers.

The traffic police is going to give this special opportunity to the drivers between March 1 and March 31. The Traffic Police Department has appealed to those people who have not paid their challan amount yet in the month of March.
