Often there is a question in the mind of the customers that in case of ATM Fail Transactions of another bank, what steps should be taken by the customer when the money has been debited from the customer’s account? What should customers do on that occasion to get their pie-pie back.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) maintains a guideline on this. According to RBI, the customer should file a complaint with the card issuing bank at the earliest, irrespective of whether the card is used at its own bank’s ATM or other bank’s ATM.

Customers should also maintain SMS linked to the transaction. Customers can go to the bank branch and lodge their complaint. The bank officials will read the transaction number through your SMS to check if there was a cash withdrawal from the ATM.

If cash withdrawal was not done and money was debited from the account, then you will be refunded every penny of hard earned money. That is, if there is a technical problem from the bank or from the ATM provider bank, then the entire money is refunded to the customers.
