Popular video streaming platform YouTube has introduced a new plan, YouTube Premium Lite, in the Indian market. This plan gives users the option to stream without watching ads. Users who want an ad-free experience will only need to spend ₹89 per month. However, this affordable plan also has some limitations.
This is the price kept in India
The company has stated that YouTube Premium Lite is priced at ₹89 per month. This price is the same as the YouTube Premium Student plan. However, it doesn’t offer YouTube Music. This plan focuses solely on ad-free video playback and doesn’t offer background playback, offline, and download options.
The new plan offers ad-free video playback on devices like smartphones, laptops, and smart TVs. However, the company has clarified that users may see ads while watching music-related content, shorts, or browsing. This means it won’t be a completely ad-free experience.
Option to choose these plans
If you’d prefer to opt for a different plan, you can choose from an individual plan priced at ₹149. A duo plan is also available for ₹219 and a family plan for ₹299. Additionally, an annual subscription costs ₹1,490.
