Airtel TV App – Enjoy Free Access to Live IPL 2018 Matches & Highlights via Hotstar
In order to lure its users, Airtel TV app is providing free access to live IPL 2018 matches, their highlights, and the streaming of upcoming Asia Cup 2018 will also be available via the Hotstar app. Post joining hands in February this year, Airtel TV and Hotstar had announced their content partnership after which they decided to provide free IPL match access to its users.
In order to prepare for the IPL coverage, Airtel introduced a new version of the Airtel TV app which comes with a dedicated cricket section where the brand will be providing curated match content for the viewer. This section will have games and contests where participants can participate and win prizes. IPL 2018 is scheduled for April 7-May 27.
In order to enjoy the new experience, the Airtel TV app users need to update the latest version of the app on both Android and iOS. Slowly and gradually the features are expected to roll out. Airtel clarifies that an Airtel 4G SIM card is a must to use the new features.
Priced at Rs. 299, Hotstar had announced its latest sports-only subscription plan which has the validity of one year i.e effectively Rs. 25 per month. The plan It offers unlimited access to live sports including cricket, tennis, football, Formula 1, and others on the Star Network-owned video streaming app.

As a part of this service, Airtel TV app users will not miss out a single moment of LIVE action from the biggest cricketing extravaganza i.e IPL 2018 and can enjoy it on go,” as per the statement of Sameer Batra, CEO – Content and Apps, Bharti Airtel.
Late last month, Airtel had join hands with Balaji Telefilms-owned ALTBalaji. As a part of this content partnership, Airtel is all set to offer the entire library of TV shows and movies of ALTBalaji on the Airtel TV app.
