ATM Rule: ATM card has become an important part of today’s lifestyle. Various banks across the country levy charges on ATM transactions. At the same time, banks provide some transactions for free. Reserve Bank of India has instructed all the banks to give relief to the customers. According to which banks can charge a maximum of Rs 21 on withdrawals in addition to the number of free transactions. Action can be taken on banks for charging more than this. Many banks offer 5 transactions free of cost. A charge is levied for exceeding this number. State Bank Of India

Country’s largest public sector bank SBI charges after 5 free transactions. Meanwhile, customers can transact for an average monthly balance above Rs 25,000. Above this number and amount, there is a charge of Rs 10 with GST, this charge is only for SBI card users. Whereas for other bank ATMs the fee is Rs 20.

Punjab National Bank

PNB charges separately for both metro and non-metro areas. ATM users can do 5 free transactions every month. If the number is more than this, a fee of Rs 10 is charged. At the same time, for other bank ATMs, there is 3 free transactions for metro cities and 5 free transactions for non-metro cities. After this, Rs 21 is charged for financial and Rs 9 for non-financial transactions.

HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank currently offers 5 free transactions. Non-bank ATM card users get 3 free transactions in metro cities and 5 free transactions in non-metro cities. If the limit is exceeded, a fee of Rs 21 will have to be paid for financial transactions and Rs 8.5 for non-financial.
