Voting for Lok Sabha elections will be held in 13 states on 26 April. 27th April is the fourth Saturday of April and 28th April is Sunday. Banks will remain closed for three consecutive days in many cities.

Bank Holiday 2024 : The second phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections is to be held on Friday, April 26. Due to which banks will remain closed in many states. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has also released the holidays calendar. All customers who have to go to the bank to get any work done should get it done immediately. Online services will continue. Customers will be able to do online transactions. You will also be able to withdraw cash through ATM.

Voting will be held in 13 states on April 26.

On Friday, voting will be held in 89 constituencies of 13 states and union territories. In many cities, the state government has declared holiday in schools, offices and banks. Banks will remain closed in many states including Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh. Banks will also remain closed in major cities like Bengaluru, Kochi, Jammu Zone and Thiruvananthapuram.

Banks will remain closed on 27-28 April also

All banks across the country will remain closed on April 27 and April 28. 27th April is the fourth Saturday of the month of April. There is a public holiday on Sunday 28th April.

Voting will be held in these states

  • Madhya Pradesh- Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Tikamgarh, Hoshangabad and Betul
  • Bihar- Kishanganj, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Katihar
  • Chhattisgarh- Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, Kanker
  • Assam- Karimganj, Mangaldoi, Silchar, Kaliabor, Navgong
  • Kerala- Kasaragod, Vatakara, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Alathur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam. Chalakudy, Ponni, Idukki, Kottayam, Mavelikara, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanthitta, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Karnataka- Udupi Chikmagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Bangalore, Kolar, Chamarajanagar, Chikballapur.
  • Maharashtra- Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Yuvatmal Washim, Wardha, Hingoli, Parbhami, Nanded
  • Manipur-Outer Manipur
  • Rajasthan- Tonk Sawai Modhopur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Pali, Jalore, Chittorgarh, Banswara, Barmer, Udaipur, Kota, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Jhalawar-Baran.
  • West Bengal- Darjeeling, Raiganj, Balurghat
