Under the new wage settlement, the salary of the employees will see an increase from 10000 to 32000. The MoU was signed after consensus in the same meeting.

Will get benefit from July

The salary of coal workers will see an increase from ₹10000 to 32000. According to the new wage agreement in June, the new pay scale will be made. Which will be paid to the coal workers in the month of July. This information has been given by the leaders of the trade union.

Payment of arrears

Along with this, he said that after the agreement made between the Coal India management and the labor leaders, the arrears are likely to be paid within 4 months. According to the information, the arrears can be paid in the last week of September or the first week of October. Whereas the meeting is presided over by Pramod Agarwal, Chairman of Coal India.

Increase in allowance

Earlier in Friday’s meeting of Coal India, important announcements were made for the employees. In which 25% was agreed upon on his allowance. Under ground allowance has been increased by 25%. Also, it was increased from 4% to 5% on special allowance. It has been agreed to increase the House Rent Allowance from the present rate of 2% to 2.5% while giving a 25% increase. Along with this, an agreement has also been made on 150 days for crediting the leave.

All allowances including washing and nursing allowance are expected to increase by 25%. The underground allowance will be 11.25% of the revised basic as on 1st July, 2021 and the revised UG allowance will be effective from July, 2021. (NCWA)-XI will be effective from 1st July, 2021 to 30th June, 2026. The agreement will cover all categories of employees in CIL and its subsidiaries and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).

Increase in leave

There is no increase in EL leave deposit. Till now the employees were being given the benefit of 8 Ph.D. Ambedkar Jayanti will be PhD on 14th April. Along with this, they will be given the benefit of 9 Ph.D. Paternity leave has also been agreed upon as a new leave.

Wage revision will also be done in HPC

JBCCI member Lakhan Lal Mahato said that the workers working as contract labor of Coal India will also get the benefit of the agreement. Along with this, wage revision will also be done in HPC. Tell that the number of contract labor is about 1.25 lakh.

The revised minimum wage envisaged for the lowest paid worker on the surface in the companies involved in the agreement would be Rs 43,677.45 per month on All India Average Consumer Price Index Number 7,819 for industrial workers.
