While giving relief to 55 Naib Tehsildars posted in different districts of the state, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has asked the state government to consider promoting them to the post of Tehsildar. For this, the single bench of Justice Sanjay Dwivedi has given a deadline of 3 months to the government for this complete action.

Employees and High Court News: There is relief news for 55 Naib Tehsildars of Madhya Pradesh. The Jabalpur High Court has directed the state government to take a decision within 90 days on the matter of promotion of Naib Tehsildars to the post of Tehsildars. The High Court said that the state government should consider the representations of all the petitioners and pass an appropriate decision in view of the decisions passed earlier and the government’s order dated November 29, 2016.

55 Naib Tehsildars had filed the petition

In fact, the Madhya Pradesh High Court, while giving relief to 55 Naib Tehsildars posted in different districts of the state, has asked the state government to consider promoting them to the post of Tehsildar. For this, Justice Sanjay Dwivedi’s single bench has given the government a deadline of 3 months for this complete action. This petition has been filed by Vikas Chand Jain of Damoh including Katni, Sagar, Rewa, Singrauli, Panna, Sehore, Burhanpur, Umaria, Vidisha, Chhindwara and In other districts, 55 employees posted on the post of Naib Tehsildar had filed.

What is the whole matter

Advocate Rahul Diwakar, appearing for the petitioners, told the High Court that the state government had issued an order on November 29, 2016, relaxing the condition of 5 years of experience for promotion to Naib Tehsildar to 3 years. After this, the Revenue Department had also started the process in this regard, but DPC was not done for promotion. Due to this he has taken refuge in the High Court.

State government given 90 days time

After this, it was argued on behalf of the Madhya Pradesh government that the Supreme Court has given instructions for the status quo in the matter of promotion. On this, it was further argued on behalf of the petitioners that in the past the High Court has made it clear in such cases that the interim order of the Supreme Court will not become a hindrance in the matter of grant of promotion.

After this, the single bench of Justice Sanjay Dwivedi has said in its order that the state government should pass an appropriate decision in 90 days after considering the representations of all the petitioners in view of the decisions passed earlier and the government’s order dated November 29, 2016.
