Tughlakabad interchange metro station will be of level 4

The Tughlakabad interchange station to be built on the Silver Line route of Delhi Metro will be of level 4. The first level will be the roof level. From here, there will be greenery area and entry building along with entry into the station.

On the second level, the entire area of ​​the station will be reserved for parking. 200 cars can be parked in this underground parking. It will be accessible via lifts, stairs and escalators to both the Violet and Silver Line stations.

Tughlakabad will be the second such interchange station of Delhi Metro which will have underground facility. Earlier there would be underground parking facility at Dhansa Bus Stand on Gray Line (Najafgarh-Dhansa Bus Stand).

There will also be a 100 meter subway to connect the existing station at Tughlakabad to the new interchange station.

New transport hub will be available in 2025

By 2025, Rajdhani will get a new transport hub in the form of Delhi Metro’s Tughlakabad interchange station. A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation spokesperson said the construction of the underground section of the 23.6-km-long Silver Line will begin this year.

The spokesman said that the tenders have been awarded this month after necessary approval from Japan’s international agency.

There will be 15 stations on the Silver Line

There are 15 stations on the Silver Line of Delhi Metro. The Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor will have four elevated stations and 11 underground stations. The existing station at Tughlakabad is elevated and the new station will be underground.

Aerocity, Chhatarpur and Saket will have G Block interchange stations on this corridor. The newly built Tughlakabad interchange station will also connect the existing Sarita Vihar depot through a tunnel.

Travelers from remote areas will benefit in Faridabad

With the opening of this new line, commuters from far-flung areas in Haryana’s Faridabad will save time by landing at Tughlakabad Interchange. Also, the benefit of direct connect to the domestic airport will be available.

At present, passengers on the Violet Line have to go to the Central Secretariat. After this, they reach the domestic and international airport terminals via the Airport Express Line. This journey takes about one and a half hours.
