Telangana Employees Holiday Calender 2024: There is good news for the government employees of Telangana. The state government has published the list of general and optional holidays for the year 2024. Under this, in the year 2024, employees will get the benefit of 27 general and 25 optional holidays. Holidays of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Zuha, Muharram and Eid-e-Milad will be declared according to the sighting of the moon.

Offices will remain closed on Saturday-Sunday except 10th February

According to the notification of the General Administration Department, all state government offices will remain closed on Sundays and second Saturdays throughout 2024, except the second Saturday (February 10), 2024.

Second Saturday instead of the public holiday declared on January 1. Separate orders will be issued for general holiday for industrial establishments and public undertakings. Public Works Department and Educational Institutions. The order reads that in addition to normal holidays, government employees can avail maximum number of optional holidays. For this, prior permission will have to be taken.
