IMD Weather Update Today 13 December 2023: Most of the states of the country are currently in the grip of winter, it is shivering cold in the capital Delhi, while in many places in Jammu and Kashmir the mercury is falling below zero, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department. By December 15, further drop in temperature will be seen and the feeling of winter will intensify. On the other hand, there is still a possibility of rain in some states of the South and North-East.
Where is there possibility of rain and hailstorm?
Releasing the forecast, the India Meteorological Department said that apart from Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, there may be rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya in the next 48 hours. The Meteorological Department has also predicted hailstorm and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh.
What effect will the inland winds leave?
According to IMD, a trough is developing in the southeast Arabian Sea up to North Konkan and Goa, hence the winds in Mumbai and its surrounding areas will blow from the southeast direction, since these will be inland winds, hence they will not allow the temperature to fall.
In which states will there be dense fog?
According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog may persist in North Punjab, North Haryana, North Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura till December 15.
How will be the weather of the capital Delhi?
The Meteorological Department has released the forecast of maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius in the national capital Delhi. IMD says that the mercury in Delhi is likely to remain between 5 to 6 degrees Celsius in the next few days.
