There is good news for railway employees. Dearness Allowance has been increased for the employees working in Indian Railways.
At the same time, employees will now get 34 percent dearness allowance instead of 31 percent. It is to be known that this will be valid from January 1, 2022 this year. The Ministry of Railways has ordered all the zones of the Railways to implement this change.
Allowance for the last three months will also be available: Along with the salary of this month, the dearness allowance will also be given to the railway employees. Please tell that this change will be considered valid from January 1 of this year.
In such a situation, railway employees and pensioners will also get an allowance of three months behind. This change will benefit 14 lakh railway employees. Implementing this decision of the Central Government on Tuesday, Deputy Director of Railway Board, Jai Kumar has issued a letter to all the railway zones.
Know what happens Dearness Allowance (DA): The government gives Dearness Allowance to government employees and pensioners. Its purpose is to keep their salary free from the wrath of rising inflation. The DA of a government employee is revised twice a year – in January and July.
At the same time, even if there is a delay in its decision, DA is given from January or July itself. For example, even if the revision of January is done in March, the increase in DA will be available from January itself.
