As soon as the same meeting started, it has been said by the management to give 64000 bonus, while the union had demanded Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, an agreement was made on Rs 76500. In this case, ED of Finance Coal India Sunil Mehta said that 2.38 lakh coal employees of Coal India will be given the benefit of bonus. 1830 crore will be paid by Coal India. The coal company has been instructed to pay bonus.
Mehndi CCS CMD Sammelan Datta says that 38,000 coal employees of BCCL will be provided bonus. The company will pay a bonus of around Rs 280 crore. The same amount will be sent to the coal workers’ account by October 1. An agreement has been reached in the meeting on Rs 76500. The bonus amount will reach the coal workers’ account by October 1.
In Coal India, 238000 employees will get the benefit of bonus while in BCCL 38485 employees will get the benefit of bonus. Rs 1830 crore will be paid for payment of bonus amount to Coal India while Rs 280 crore is to be paid by BCCL for providing bonus to the employees.
