How to book train tickets on IRCTC website?
- To create your new IRCTC account, first go to the official website of IRCTC www.irctc.co.in .

- Then fill your personal details like your name, date of birth, email and mobile number on this page. Don’t forget to create a secure password.
- Enter the code shown on the screen.

- After submitting all the information, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile and email. Enter this code to verify.
- Here, fill out your profile page to add details like your address, gender and nationality.
- To book train tickets, passengers need to add their name, age, gender and ID proof with the ‘Master List’ tab.
- Then enter travel details like source, destination, date and class to view the trains.
- Select train and class and then click on Book Now.
- Fill name, age and ID proof details here. Select a payment mode and make payment.
- After payment, print or save the e-ticket.
How to cancel railway e-ticket online?
- First of all go to the official website of Indian Railways, irctc.co.in.
- Go to ‘Booked Tickets’ link
- Here you have to select the cancel ticket option.
- Thereafter, the cancellation will be confirmed online and the refund will be credited back to the account used for booking.
