Google has launched a new feature for its Classroom service. Under this feature, it allows teachers to convert any YouTube video into an interactive assignment. Teachers can now turn any YouTube video into an interactive assignment by adding questions for their students to answer throughout the video.
Interactive Question Feature
Google said, the interactive questions feature provides an engaging experience and improves students’ understanding of a topic by providing them with space to make mistakes, review incorrect answers, and analyze their correct answers. After class students complete the video activity, teachers will have access to a dashboard of key insights based on student participation levels.
Useful feature for teachers-students
The company said that interactive YouTube video assignments will be beneficial for students, it will help teachers easily reach out to students who need additional support, difficulty in understanding subjects or future plans. Under this feature, teachers can also give personalized instruction to their students, because they will get instant response on answering certain types of questions in video exercises.
Available to whom
This feature is available for Education Plus and Teaching and Learning Upgrade users. This feature is being fully launched in the next three days. The tool can be enabled by the administrator through the admin console. The interactive questions feature has been available in beta since March.
