At present, the dearness allowance of central employees is 38 percent. The same pensioners will also get pension at the rate of 38 per cent. The special thing is that due to increase in DA, the PF and gratuity contribution of the employee also increases. It will benefit 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners.

August AICPI Index 2022
The Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers is compiled every month by Labor Bureau, Office of the Ministry of Labor and Employment on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets of 88 important industrial centers spread across the country. The index is compiled for 88 industrial centers and pan India and released on the last working day of the following month.

  • Inflation rate for August, 2022 stood at 5.85 per cent as compared to 5.78 per cent in the previous month and 4.80 per cent in the corresponding month of last year. The food inflation rate stood at 6.46 percent as compared to 5.96 percent in the previous month and 4.83 percent in the same month a year ago.
