So far, more than four thousand applicants have registered in the new housing scheme of Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Registration for more than 30 thousand flats in Dwarka, Loknayak Puram and Narela started on November 24. Applicants are registering for EWS, LIG, MIG and HIG flats.

Booking for all these categories of flats will start from December 11 on ‘first come first serve’ basis. Applicants will be able to book flats as per their preference. Among these, booking fee will be Rs 50 thousand for EWS, Rs 1 lakh for LIG, Rs 4 lakh for MIG and Rs 10 lakh for HIG.

The booking process will continue till 31 March 

A senior DDA official said that the registration and booking process of flats will continue till March 31, 2024. Officers and employees of the authority have been deployed at the sites of the flats to provide information related to the flats to the applicants. The numbers of officers and employees are also available in the brochure related to the scheme. By calling these people will get all kinds of information regarding flats.

Attitudes are changing due to lack of public transport system 

Thousands of flats in different categories of Narela are included in the scheme. Even after this, people coming here to see the flats have demanded concrete steps on public transport system and security. Sunil Singh from Rajouri Garden, who came to see the flat on Tuesday, said that DDA is taking out thousands of flats in Narela. The roads around the flat have been improved. But big boards of DDA’s Narela flats are not installed at various places via Pitampura, Rohini, Badli and Bawana. Present only in a few places. There is a great need to pay better attention to the public transport system here.

Along with metro, bus routes should also be increased. Security arrangements should be improved by increasing the police post. DDA has appointed a consultant to analyze the rates of different categories of flats in Delhi-NCR. Senior DDA officials are continuously talking to this consultant. The consultant has prepared a report on the facilities available in flats in NCR cities. DDA is now studying this report. On this basis, work is underway on a plan to determine the prices of various flats.

New price fixed up to Rs 88 lakh in Dwarka

DDA has fixed the price of one room LIG flats located in Phase-2 of Dwarka Sector-14 at Rs 77 lakh to Rs 88 lakh in this new housing scheme. Here 316 LIG flats have been included in the scheme. Now people coming to see the flat have asked to consider its price. Many applicants coming to see the flat said that in this sector of Dwarka, one room LIG flat of 88.16 to 100.02 square meters is being given for Rs 77 to 88 lakh.

Whereas the area of ​​7,913 flats in Pocket 1 to 6 of Narela Sector-G2 is 49.9 square meters. Its price is Rs 20.90 to 21 lakh. Also, a total of 11,767 flats in Pocket 6,7 and 11 in Narela Sector-G 7 have been added to the housing scheme measuring 49.9 square meters. Its price is Rs 25.2 lakh. In such a situation, two-room MIG flats of 88.16 to 100.02 square meters should have been constructed in Dwarka Sector-14. Two room flats in good area could be constructed at this site by adding a few more square metres.

People pushing for investment

DDA has included a total of 1,184 three-room HIG flats, a total of 1,976 two-room MGI flats and a total of 19,680 one-room LGI flats in the scheme in different sectors of Narela. However, the priority of the applicants who have registered the flats is now to purchase these flats for investment purposes. In this regard, people coming to see flats in Narela have shown interest in participating in the flat booking process only as an investment.
