According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in East Rajasthan and North-West Madhya Pradesh till Wednesday 21 June. Light to moderate rain is likely over Southwest Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature is expected to drop by 3-5˚C over Madhya Pradesh and East India during the next 5 days.

Rain alert in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in East Rajasthan during the next 24 hours. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is expected at most places over northern parts of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, heavy rains are possible in adjoining areas and very heavy rains in some parts of Northwest Madhya Pradesh.

Light to moderate rain is expected over most areas with heavy to very heavy falls over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during next five days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya on 20 June.

According to the IMD, heavy rain is expected over Bihar and Jharkhand on June 21 and 22, and over Gangetic West Bengal, while Odisha is expected to receive heavy rains from June 21 to 23. Scattered light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning will occur over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. While the plains of Northwest India will see scattered rains during the next five days. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand on June 22-23.
