What is PM-WANI Scheme

In order to promote the use of broadband among the general public, the Department of Telecom has started the PM-WANI scheme. Its main purpose is to provide Wi-Fi facility in all public places. Through this scheme, citizens across the country can be connected to the Internet. Its framework has been designed and developed by C-DOT.

Through this, small shopkeepers can set up public data offices and can provide their service to the last mile. This will make it easier for them to do business and grow.
