Vande Bharat Express, a semi-high speed train running on the Delhi to Banaras route, will run five days a week. Earlier the train was operated four days a week. Seeing the increasing demand from the passengers, Railways has taken this decision.

New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express train (22436) will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the week. The train departs from Delhi at 6 in the morning and reaches Varanasi at 2 in the afternoon.

Vande Bharat Express (22435) from Varanasi to New Delhi will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It will leave Banaras at 3 pm and reach New Delhi at 11 pm.

When traveling by Vande Bharat train from New Delhi to Varanasi, the chair car fare starts from Rs.850. The fare of Executive AC Chair Car is around Rs.2400.

The Vande Bharat Express train from New Delhi to Varanasi stops at Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central in between. Due to having only two stops, the train covers the distance from Delhi to Banaras in 8 hours.
