New Delhi, Tech Desk. The Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) has released a subscribers report. According to this report, there are 115.6 million mobile users in India as of 31 January 2020, while there are 20 million wireline users. In this way, the total number of users using the telephone service is 117.7 crore. Apart from this, information about the subscriber base of all telecom companies is also given in this report. Reliance Jio has become the largest telecom company in the country with 37.65 crore users. At the same time, Vodafone-Idea is the second and third telecom company in the country with 32.89 crore and Airtel 32.81 crore users respectively.
In the month of January, the number of wireless telecom users has increased by 5 million. At the same time, there has been a decrease of 4.20 lakh in the number of wireline users. In the case of wireless or mobile users, Reliance Jio’s share is 32.56 percent. At the same time, Vodafone-Idea has a market share of 28.45 percent. While Airtel has a market share of 28.38 percent. Public sector telecom company BSNL has a market share of 10.32 percent. Talking about wireline operators, BSNL’s dominance here. BSNL has a market share of 44.46 percent. Airtel has a market share of 20.96 per cent. At the same time, MTNL15.10 is ranked third with market share.
Talking about adding subscribers, Reliance Jio added the maximum 65.5 lakh new users in January 2020. At the same time, BSNL has added 12.25 lakh new users. Airtel has added 8.5 lakh users at number three. Vodafone-Idea has suffered the most. A total of 3.6 lakh users of Vodafone-Idea have changed subscribers or stopped the service. Talking about active users, Airtel has won here. Airtel has 95.37 percent active users in January 2020. At the same time, Vodafone-Idea has 90.36 percent active users. Reliance Jio has 82.26 percent active users. However, only 54.88 percent of BSNL are active users.
