The work of underground stations was inaugurated on Monday by Kumar Keshav, MD of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation. The first Havan was performed at the underground station being built in front of the Agra Fort.
After this the work of digging in the ground was started with the help of ring machine. However, metro tracks and metro stations being built on Fatehabad Road in Agra have started taking their shape. After that the underground station has been started.
7 stations will be built underground
, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation MD Kumar Keshav said that 7 underground stations will be built in it. Building an underground station is a very difficult task. After this the work of underground station at Jama Masjid will start. All these stations will be connected to the elevated station.
People of Tajnagri will start metro journey from 2024
MD Kumar Keshav told that the speed with which the metro work is going on. He is very admirable. More than half of the metro work has been done on Fatehabad Road. Now underground stations are being built.
Two years are all the stations which will be fully ready. It is expected that by 2024, the residents of Tajnagri will be able to travel by metro, for which they are eagerly waiting.
Significantly, work is going on on the metro rail project in many cities in UP. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the government’s effort is to run metro rail in Agra. For this, work has been expedited on this.
