New Delhi. Modi government may soon announce another relief package to boost the economy of the Corona crisis. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has indicated this. The economy is badly shaken due to Corona. In such a situation, the central government may soon announce a third incentive package to support the country’s economy. Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government is considering another incentive package to deal with the situation arising out of the country’s corona virus. There is another option.

Let us tell you that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a meeting today with the secretaries of the Ministry of Petroleum, Natural Gas as well as the heads of 14 PSU companies attached to them through video conferencing. During this meeting, he discussed the steps taken by the government to reduce the negative impact in the economy. He said that the government has started assessing the reasons for the decline in GDP. He said that the government is brainstorming on these reasons and will soon come up with its assessment before the people.

At the same time, the government has directed the public sector companies to increase their expenditure. The Finance Minister said that large public companies of the country have been asked to meet 75 percent of the planned capital expenditure for the year 2020-21 by December 2020, which will help in reducing the negative impact on the economy. It is worth noting that in the financial year 2019-20, 14 central PSU companies of the country were given a capital expenditure target of Rs 1,11,672 crore, but their expenditure was Rs 1,16,323 crore. At the same time, these companies have set a capital expenditure target of Rs 1,15,934 crore for the current current financial year, but by September 2020 they have achieved only 32% target.
