Have you linked your Aadhaar with PAN? If you have linked these two documents then you can e-verify your Income Tax Return (ITR) using your Aadhaar. Link your PAN and Aadhaar for quick and easy e-verification of ITR. The due date for linking your Aadhaar and PAN is 31 March 2022. Income Tax India, the official Twitter account of the Income Tax Department, has said in a tweet that link it today.

UIDAI said in a tweet on February 18 that there is a simple way to e-verify your Income Tax Return using your #Aadhaar. If your Aadhaar is linked with #PAN, you can e-verify your #ITR using Aadhaar. Please note that your mobile number must be registered in Aadhaar to avail this service.

How to do PAN Card Aadhaar Card Link

If you have linked your PAN card with Aadhaar, then you can check your status by clicking on this link. First of all go to the official website of Income Tax Department  www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in  i.e. now the new website  https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal  . Click on the option of Link Aadhaar at the bottom.

  • Click on the hyper link Click here to view your status. Here you have to fill your Aadhar and PAN card details.
  •  If your PAN card is linked to Aadhar card then you will see this confirmation that your PAN is linked to Aadhaar Number.
  • If you have not linked Aadhar card and PAN card yet, then you have   to  click on this link https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home . After that click on Link Aadhaar.
  • After this you have to fill your details. And your PAN card will be linked with Aadhar card.

  • To use the SMS service, Aadhaar can be linked with PAN card by sending a message to 567678 or 56161.
  • Click on the hyper link Click here to view your status. Here you have to fill your Aadhar and PAN card details.
  •  If your PAN card is linked to Aadhar card then you will see this confirmation that your PAN is linked to Aadhaar Number.
  • If you have not linked Aadhar card and PAN card yet, then you have   to  click on this link https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home . After that click on Link Aadhaar.
  • After this you have to fill your details. And your PAN card will be linked with Aadhar card.
