Haryana Government/Pension News: Haryana’s Manohar Lal Khattar government has taken a big decision regarding patients suffering from cancer. On the lines of Tripura, the state government has decided to start a monthly pension of Rs 3000 for cancer patients suffering from stage 3 and 4.
Recently, in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Manohar Lal Khattar, monthly allowance on the lines of old age respect allowance for cancer patients of third and fourth stage has been approved. The benefit of the scheme will be available from the day of issue of the notification.
You will get benefits from the new year
In fact, in December last year, CM Manohar Lal Khattar had announced that patients suffering from stage 3 and 4 cancer, thalassemia and hemophilia will be given monthly pension. Cancer treatment will be provided free under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, under which the state government will bear the cost of treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Now the CM has fulfilled his promise before 2024.
In the cabinet meeting held on Monday, the Haryana government has taken an important decision to provide financial assistance to the “third and fourth stage” cancer patients. Under this, eligible patients will be given monthly allowance on the lines of Old Age Honor Allowance Scheme. Under this, patients from families with annual income up to Rs 3 lakh will be given a monthly pension of Rs 3000 from the new year 2024.
Economic benefits will also continue
Apart from this, the financial benefits already available under the Social Security Pension Scheme will also continue. The financial assistance under this will be in addition to the benefit being received by the applicant under any other social security pension scheme. This scheme will come into force from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Under this scheme, monthly financial assistance of Rs 3000 will be provided to eligible cancer patients on the lines of Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme from January 1, 2024. Cancer patients whose family annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh excluding the amount of other social security pension schemes will be eligible.
These will be the rules
- Its benefit will be available to those patients whose annual family income is up to Rs 3 lakh.
- It is necessary to be a native of Haryana.
- There is no age restriction for pension, patients of all age groups will get its benefit.
- The pension of these pensioners will be sent directly to the bank accounts through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
- To give benefits, the facts of annual income shown in the family identity card will be matched.
- The documents verified by the committee of Civil Surgeon office will have to be uploaded through Saral Centre.
- The applicant will have to bring ration card, voter card, PAN card, passport, bank passbook, telephone, water, electricity or other utility bills showing home address or land record documents, family identity card to the Saral Center. .
- Along with address proof, Aadhar card, PAN card, income certificate, a certificate of stage 3-4 cancer from the civil surgeon will also have to be given.
