Petrol-Diesel Price Hiked: Even though petrol and diesel prices remain the same in many places, an increase in fuel prices was seen in some cities on Monday. However, petrol and diesel prices vary from state to state depending on many factors like value added tax (VAT), freight charges, local taxes etc.

Talking about Bihar, petrol has now become costlier by 43 paise and diesel by 40 paise. Apart from this, rates have also increased in Rajasthan. There petrol has become costlier by 47 paise and diesel by 43 paise. Apart from this, petrol and diesel have also become expensive in Punjab, Maharashtra and Goa.

While oil prices changed in different cities

petrol became cheaper by 27 paise and diesel by 24 paise in Madhya Pradesh. In Haryana too, petrol became cheaper by Rs 37 and diesel by Rs 35. Petrol and diesel have become cheaper in Chhattisgarh also.

Apart from this, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.72 per liter in Delhi, while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 per liter. At the same time, the price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 106.31 and diesel is available at Rs 94.27 per liter. If we talk about oil prices in Kolkata, petrol is available there at Rs 106.03 and diesel at Rs 92.76 per litre. The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 102.63 and the price of diesel is Rs 94.24 per liter.

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) in India such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum set the prices of petrol and diesel on a daily basis. Let us tell you that the rates are determined according to the price of crude oil across the world.
