PM Modi appeals to states to reduce VAT

Let us tell you that the oil companies last increased the prices of petrol and diesel on 6 April. Since then there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel, which is a big relief news, where PM Modi has asked those states to cut oil prices, which have not reduced it yet. .

In the review meeting of the states regarding Corona, PM Modi appealed to the states to reduce VAT on oil. He said that the state governments should give relief to the public by reducing VAT on oil in the interest of the country.

Demonstration against Delhi government for reducing VAT

Significantly, in the capital Delhi, BJP workers demonstrated outside the house of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. BJP workers demanded from the Kejriwal government to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel.

BJP President Adesh Gupta said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should tell when other states and UTs can reduce VAT, then why is the Delhi government not doing so?

Why don’t you want to take any concrete step to give relief to the people of Delhi? Central government has asked to reduce excise duty, BJP ruled states have reduced VAT but non BJP states have not reduced VAT.
