Now the UP government will start ‘Potato Excellence Center’ in Kushinagar, taking effective steps to promote potato cultivation in eastern Uttar Pradesh. A spokesperson of the Yogi government said that the government is going to take a big step to promote potato cultivation in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Farmers will get benefit
Under this scheme of the government, ‘Potato Center of Excellence’ will be started in Kasaya area of Kushinagar. Farmers will get the benefit of this in the coming time. With the increase in production, the income of the farmers will also increase.
The spokesperson said that the foundation stone of the administrative building of this center will also be laid soon. This has been included in the 100-day action plan by the government.
Information about prevention of diseases will be given
He said that with this, good quality seeds would be easily available to the farmers. The spokesman said that research on potato quality, better varieties for industrial use and discovery of new varieties and improved seeds would also be done in this centre. Along with this, plans can also be made to protect the potato crop from diseases.
