Samsung Galaxy S26 Benchmarks Leak: Exynos 2600 Hits 11k Multi-Core Ahead of Feb 25 Launch

0

It’s Tuesday afternoon, February 3, 2026, and if the latest Geekbench leaks are a sign, Samsung is finally ready to put the “Exynos anxiety” to rest. The Exynos 2600 just showed up on the charts, and it looks like Samsung’s 2nm gamble might actually pay off.

The thing is, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus will be carrying this chip in most global markets, while the Ultra is reportedly going solo with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Or nothing.

Galaxy S26 Benchmarks: Field Notes

It’s an ongoing situation where Samsung is trying to prove their in-house silicon can finally trade blows with Qualcomm. Here’s the ground reality from the latest listings:

  • The CPU Leap: The vanilla Galaxy S26 (SM-S942N) hit a single-core score of 3,336 and a multi-core score of 11,369. To put that in perspective, that’s about a 39% jump in CPU speed over last year. It’s a 10-core beast with a prime core screaming at 3.8 GHz. Those too.

  • AMD Graphics Are Back: The Xclipse 960 GPU (built with AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture) is the real star. It pulled a Vulkan score of 27,478. Samsung is claiming double the compute power and a 50% boost in ray tracing. Let’s be real—if this holds up, mobile gaming is about to get very “console-like.”

  • Android 16 Out of the Box: The benchmark confirms the phone is running Android 16 with One UI 8.5. And here’s the kicker—Samsung is reportedly ditching the 128GB model entirely. The base version will now start at 256GB with 12GB of RAM as the new standard. And then the price hike rumors followed.

  • The “Privacy Display”: Leaks suggest the S26 series will feature a new screen tech that limits viewing angles so people next to you can’t snoop on your texts. It’s a bit messy, but definitely a “Pro” feature coming to the base models. Or nothing.

And Here’s the Kicker…

Samsung is reportedly holding the Unpacked event on February 25 in San Francisco. The thing is, while the base S26 and Plus might see a price hike due to those expensive 2nm chips, rumors suggest the Ultra might actually see a small price drop to compete with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Those too.

One side comment—the 60W charging on the Ultra is a long-overdue “thank you” to fans who have been stuck at 45W for years. It’s an ongoing situation. Authentic, but finally catching up. Or nothing.
