Many such problems come to the fore, in view of which IRCTC has come up with some solution. Now you can transfer your ticket to someone else without canceling, after which that person can travel on that ticket.

What is its method?

For this, passengers will have to submit a written request to the nearest train reservation office 24 hours before the train departure. E-tickets can be transferred to family members like mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, spouse.

The passenger in whose name the ticket is issued will have to provide a printout of the e-reservation slip, an original ID card proof and proof of relationship with the person to whom the ticket is to be transferred.

If the passenger is a Government servant on duty and has reasonable authority, submits a written request 24 hours before the appointed time of departure of the train. All such requests will be approved only once.
