BPSC: Online application for Bihar Mineral Development Officer starts today, apply this way

New Delhi, Online Desk. BPSC Recruitment 2020: Bihar Public Service Commission has started the process of online application for recruitment to the posts of Mineral Development Officer (MDC) in the Mines and Geology Department of the state government. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the online application form provided by the official website of the Commission, bpsc.bih.nic.in. Candidates can also apply through the direct link given below.


Bihar Public Service Commission had recently issued a notification for the recruitment of 20 posts of Mineral Development Officer (MDC) in the Mines and Ghosts Department of the state government under Bihar Mines and Geology Service.

The BPSC has issued a notice for the mineral development officer on 22 April along with a detailed notification. However, the process of online application for these posts has not been started yet. To apply, candidates must first register. Online registrations can be made from May 4 to May 18, 2020, while application fees can be paid by May 25. After payment of application fee, candidates will be able to apply till 02 June 2020.


Eligibility for the posts of Bihar Mineral Development Officer (MDC) is a minimum of second grade from a recognized university or institute, MSc or MTech degree in Geology or Applied Geology or degree in Mine Engineering.

At the same time, on August 1, 2019, the minimum age of 21 years and maximum 37 years has been set for the candidates who want to apply. However, the maximum age limit has been relaxed by the Commission for reserved categories – Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates and women candidates. For more information, see the official notification.


The selection of candidates for the posts of Bihar Mineral Development Officer (MDC) will be done on the basis of written examination and interview. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for the interview, who will get the minimum percentage marks prescribed by the state government for various categories in the written examination.
