According to the report, e-commerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho are getting more sales from small cities. According to the report, Meesho has received 80 percent of the orders in the first 3 days of the sale from Tier-2 and small cities. Whereas Flipkart has received more than 60 percent orders from non-metro cities on the first day of Big Billion Days Sale.

Such dominance of small towns

In the report, quoting Flipkart, it has been said that in this year’s Big Billion Days sale, more than 60 percent of its orders on the first day came from Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Same is the situation with Amazon also. Amazon says that in the initial days of its Great India Festival Sale, more than 80 percent of the orders have come from non-metro cities.

People arrived in large numbers in the initial sale

E-commerce companies are getting a bumper response from customers in the festive season sale this year. According to the report, the Flipkart platform received 9.1 crore visits on the first day of Big Billion Days Sale. Amazon said that 9.5 crore customers visited its platform in the first 48 hours. Both companies said that most of the customers visited their platforms from mobile phones.

More than 75 phones sold every second

People are buying smartphones in large numbers in the festive sale. According to Amazon, people are buying the most phones from OnePlus, Samsung and Apple on its platform. More than 100 OnePlus phones were sold every minute in the first 48 hours of the sale. Samsung phones remained at the forefront in the premium category. Amazon Prime members purchased more than 75 smartphones every second in the initial sale hours.

Companies can sell this much

Apart from smartphones, customers are buying products like smart watches, large screen TVs and electronics, lifestyle and beauty and general merchandise in the festive season sale. Sarees, watches, Bluetooth headphones, toys etc. are the best selling products. People are also showing interest in visiting small cities. It is expected that in the first phase of festive season sale this year, e-commerce companies can touch the sales figure of Rs 40 thousand crore.
