Infinix officially launched the Note Edge 5G in India Wednesday. The budget-friendly device targets users seeking a premium curved display and extended battery life at a sub-₹25,000 price point.
The smartphone debuted as part of the third week of February 2026 launch cycle. It features a high-capacity 6,500mAh battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. With a slim profile and “Active Halo” lighting, Infinix aims to capture the Gen-Z segment looking for both aesthetics and endurance.

Pricing and Launch Offers
The Infinix Note Edge 5G is available in three storage configurations. The 6GB/128GB base variant is priced at ₹21,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB/128GB model costs ₹23,999, and the top-tier 8GB/256GB version retails for ₹25,999.
Infinix is offering an instant ₹2,000 bank discount for SBI and ICICI cardholders. Therefore, the effective starting price drops to ₹19,999. Launch benefits include a one-time free screen replacement and a 24-month extended warranty. In fact, eligible Jio users can access a 18-month Google Gemini Pro subscription at no additional cost.
Display and Design Innovation
The device features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 3D curved design. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches an industry-leading 4,500 nits of peak brightness. Therefore, the screen remains visible even under direct February sunlight.
Next, the chassis is IP65 rated for dust and splash resistance. It also includes “Wet Touch” technology for use with damp fingers. The rear panel features “Active Halo” lighting around the camera module. This light can be customized for incoming calls, notifications, or rhythm-synced music playback.

Performance and AI Features
The MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor powers the device, paired with LPDDR5x RAM. It runs on XOS 16 based on Android 16. Infinix promised three years of OS updates and five years of security patches. This makes it one of the longest-supported devices in its price bracket.
For photography, the Note Edge 5G houses a 50MP primary sensor. It includes AI-based tools like AI Eraser and Live Photos. Furthermore, the software integrates the Folax AI voice assistant and a dedicated “One-Tap AI Button” for quick task execution.
Reality Check
Infinix markets the 6,500mAh battery as a “marathon” solution. Still, the 45W wired charging is relatively slow for a battery of this size. Therefore, a full charge will likely take over 90 minutes. In fact, most rivals in the ₹20,000 segment now offer 67W or 80W charging. Thus, while the phone lasts longer, it also stays tethered to the wall longer during recharges.
The Loopholes
The “sub-₹20,000” price point is only achievable through specific bank discounts. In fact, the actual market price for the majority of buyers will remain ₹21,999. Therefore, the headline price is a marketing loophole. Furthermore, the 18-month Gemini Pro subscription is tied to select Jio plans. Still, users who are not on the Jio network or those on budget plans may not be eligible for this high-value AI benefit.

What This Means for You
If you prioritize screen quality and battery endurance over raw gaming speed, the Note Edge 5G is a strong contender. First, check your Jio plan eligibility for the Gemini Pro bundle; this AI perk is worth roughly ₹15,000 over 18 months. Then, compare the 4,500-nit brightness against your current phone if you work outdoors.
Finally, realize that the 24-month warranty and free screen replacement provide significant peace of mind. You should buy the 256GB variant if you plan to keep the phone for the full five years of promised updates. Before purchasing, visit a retail outlet to test the “Active Halo” lighting to ensure it fits your style.
What’s Next
The Infinix Note Edge 5G goes on sale across Flipkart and retail stores starting today. Then, we expect a “Pro” variant with 80W charging to surface by mid-2026. Finally, the first Android 16 stable update for older Infinix devices will begin rolling out by the end of March.
