Jio returns again, leaving Airtel and VI behind

But in February, Jio once again made a comeback, leaving behind Airtel and Vodafone-idea (VI). Jio has added the maximum number of new customers in February this year. According to data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio added around 42 lakh new subscribers in February 2021. In this way, the total number of subscribers of Jio in February 2021 has crossed the 41 crore mark.

Airtel ahead in adding active customers

According to the TRAI report, in January and last year, Vodafone (Vi) added more customers than Jio. However, in February this year, the bet has turned. The number of new customers of Airtel fell to 37 million in February. However, Airtel is still at the forefront of adding active customers. The number of wireless subscribers of Aitel has exceeded 34 crores. The same VI added a total of 6.5 lakh new subscribers in February. Thus, the total subscriber base of the company stands at 282.6 million.

A total of 82 lakh new subscribers added

According to the TRAI report, 19 lakh new subscribers have been added by Jio in January. After this, in February, more than 23 lakh new customers have been added by Jio. In this way, the total number of subscribers of Jio has exceeded 42 lakhs. In January, Airtel added more than 5.8 million new subscribers. The next month, Airtel added 37 lakh new subscribers to its networks. According to the TRAI report, a total of 82 lakh new subscribers have been added by different telecom companies in February.
