SBI Customer Alert: Many customers of State Bank of India are getting Fake messages. Do not ignore such messages and report at report.phising@sbi.co.in.

SBI Customer Alert: Along with digital banking, cases of online banking scams are also increasing. These days many customers of State Bank of India are getting a fake message which says account is locked due to some suspicious activities. If such SMS are coming in your phone too, then ignore them, otherwise your small mistake can cause huge loss.

Your account may be empty

As soon as these messages are clicked, the information related to the customers’ account reaches the scammers. Which they can also use to withdraw money from the bank account.

PIB fake check alerted

PIB Fact has also advised customers to be cautious of such messages. According to PIB Fact Check, in these messages sent by scammers in the name of SBI, it is being said, “Your account will be permanently locked.” So do not reply to such SMS or email. Do not click on any unknown link. Apart from this, do not share any information related to the bank to any unknown person. In such a situation reporting would be the right option.

  • Report such messages to report.phising@sbi.co.in.
  • Do not give account number, password and other personal details to any unknown person.
  • Before replying to any message, please verify it, you can get information about it by calling the customer care of the bank.
  • You can call “930” to report scam messages.
