Under the earlier order, it was decided to pay cash from May 1, 2023.

The order has been issued by Finance Secretary Rohit Gupta after approval from the authorities and the department. At the same time, the benefit of DA-salary has to be paid to the employees in the salary of April i.e. in May. Workcharged employees will also get its benefit. With the increase of 4% in the dearness allowance of the employees, it was increased from 38 to 42 percent.

Arrears of 3 months will be deposited in GPF account

With the issuance of the order by the Finance Department, four lakh pensioners including eight lakh employees will get its benefit. The allowance will be increased from January 1. At the same time, arrears of 3 months from January to March will be deposited in their GPF account.

Additional burden of Rs 1640 crore on the state government

While the benefit of their dearness allowance along with increased salary from April will be given to them in the month of May. These employees are also to be given the benefit of increase in dearness allowance. Along with this, an additional burden of Rs 1640 crore can be seen on the state government. Earlier, on October 30, the DA was increased by 4 percent by the Rajasthan government. After which the dearness allowance was increased from 34% to 38%.
